We pay homage to Gil Scott-Heron's pivotal piece "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised" (1971). Scott-Heron is a Chicago-born hero, bluesologist, hip-hop godfather and pioneer of proto-rap.

Get the most done in the face of the most opposition,
Yet still receive the most criticism.

You will see Slager unload 8 rounds of hate
That he had been saving for just the right occasion,
A broken tail light.

There will be footage of pigs choking
Brothas in your feed.
There will be footage of pigs killing
Brothas in your feed.
Matter of fact, there will be all kinds of footage
Of cops killing and beating people
In your feed.
But also, the revolution will be in your feed.

You will see Bree Newsome climb…

The Daily and Nightly shows will still remain relevant.
People will take to the streets to
Make their voices heard.
You will see an underdog stand a fighting chance
Because we will be in cyberspace
Sharing the facts so
We can build a brighter day.
